20-minute review of Avatar
The guy who did the 70-minute review of Star Wars: Episode 1 did a shorter review of Avatar and basically explained why I hated this movie in a much funnier and poignant way than I could.

The great thing about the iPod was that it did one thing and did it better than anyone else, iPad does not have the same focus of purpose. It seems like it will probably be the best portable internet device on the market and would be awesome to have on a flight for watching movies, but it doesn’t look like a meaningful Kindle competitor.
I’m interested to see it in person, because the IPS screen might turn out to be great for reading, but I am skeptical and the relatively short battery life doesn’t help (10 hours vs. 2 weeks).

“She Just Likes to Fight” from Four Tet’s new album, “There Is Love In You.”
I’m pretty much certain that, unless Captain Beefheart releases a new album, this is going to be my favorite album of 2010.
